Triangle

A bespoke hand-made artists' journal unifying the work of many into a single multifaceted piece.

Triangle is the first edition of Brown WIlliams Journal. A collective of students from the Creative Writing Postgraduate Programme at the University of Glasgow. Their aim is to unite the artists of Glasgow and through Triangle authors, musicians and designers alike came together culminating in a launch event at the Kibble Palace in Glasgow's Botanic Gardens.

I wanted this artists' journal to have both traditional and modern aspects. The traditional aspects reflecting the esteemed reputation of the University of Glasgow and its long-established history and the modern symbolising the forward thinking of their students to create such a unique piece.

This has been achieved by using a mixture of traditional and new methods and styles. The traditional hand-made accordian format book with golden highlights give a nod to the University's history whilst the modern Triangular style 'cut-out' panels, created with laser-printing methods utilizes modern technology.
